Our stunning boy Bentley is an ex race horse and was trained up for Melbourne Cup. He arrived with a bleeding nose from the damage to his lungs caused by supplements given to him and training he was subjected to as a race horse.

He had a bowed tendon so had to be stabled on his own for months for recovery. This was very hard for poor Bentley, as he could see all the sanctuary had to offer and another horse friend to play with (which he had never had before) and he couldn’t go and roam free.

Finally the day came where his recovery period was over and it was time for Bentley to know what freedom was. The video of his first run to freedom was amazing and he has been the most happy and friendly boy ever since with a cheeky personality.
