Do you have a full driving licence and clean driving record?
Confident in driving a car with trailer attached?
Are you an early morning riser?
Do you have 2 hours free in the morning?
Love food and get a buzz out of securing it for our animals?
Can commit to at least one day a week?
Strong enough to carry boxes of food (approx 20 kilos)?
If you answered yes, we want to hear from you.
What the role looks like.
You will be responsible for picking up the fresh produce from our local Farmers market in Underwood.
Your day will start at the sanctuary at 6:00 - 6:15am where you will drive the Sanctuary car and trailer (leaving the sanctuary no later than 7am). Here you will arrive at the Farmers market, wheel out the full produce bins from the market loading dock and replace with clean wheelie bins.
You will then unload the produce from these large wheelie bins into our smaller feeding buckets and load these and the empty wheelie bins into the trailer.
After safely securing the load, you will drive the full trailer back to our Sanctuary at Burbank where you will leave the produce ready for the feed team to distribute to the animals.
Cleaning of wheelie bins for next shift is also required.
Full training will be provided.
This role is an early morning start as our animals food needs to be secured for the day.
Days: Monday through to Sunday
Must: Have a full drivers license, reasonable strength and be reliable.
This is a new role within the sanctuary and full training will be provided (including gloves).
